Angelina L. Adam, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, obtained her Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Elementary Education with a concentration in Sociology from Long Island University and Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2003.

Prior to law school, Ms. Adam spent several years working as a paralegal/office manager for a personal injury law office. Ms. Adam’s career as a lawyer began as an associate with Gregory J. Cannata & Associates.  She now handles a wide variety of personal injury cases including motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, subway and bus accidents, window guard falls, nursing home falls, wrongful death and school assault cases.  Ms. Adam handles cases from inception through trial, and is co-trial counsel to Mr. Cannata at many trials.

Many of the Firm’s cases involving children have been assigned to Ms. Adam.  As a mother, Ms. Adam has the patience and understanding which is crucial when working with children who are often traumatized as a result of their accidents.   A recent case settled by Ms. Adam involved an assault on a student by four other students in a New York City Public School locker room, which resulted in a fractured eye socket requiring surgical repair.  She is also presently representing a special education student who was sexually assaulted by another student in a New York City Public School.

Ms. Adam also handled a case for a young girl injured in a catering hall after slipping on broken glass which was left on the dance floor by the staff.  The girl suffered a fractured elbow requiring surgical repair, which resulted in a subsequent compartment syndrome and significant residual scarring.  The case was settled for $750,000.00.  Ms. Adam has successfully negotiated numerous other settlements of client’s cases over the years.

Ms. Adam has been a member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, New York Bar Association and New York County Lawyer’s Association.  Ms. Adam is also fluent in Spanish.
