Alison Cannata Hendele obtained her Bachelors of Art Cum Laude from Colgate University in 2004 and her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law in 2009. Ms. Hendele was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2010.

Ms. Hendele first worked at Gregory J. Cannata & Associates as a paralegal before entering law school. In that position, Mrs. Hendele obtained a valuable introduction to the legal profession and a strong foundation to the practice of personal injury law. The skills that she learned enabled her success in law school and the smooth transition from student to attorney.

While at St. Johns, Mrs. Hendele participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic. As a member of that program, she worked with a professor to represent children as their law guardian in abuse or neglect proceedings brought against their parents in Queens County Family Court. Ms. Hendele was also a co-founder and director of the Multilingual Legal Advocates, a student-run organization which promoted the study of foreign languages for attorneys and translations services for non-English speaking clients.

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Hendele re-joined Gregory J. Cannata & Associates as a lawyer. She has had the opportunity to assist in a variety of different matters, including appeals, products liability, lead poisoning, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents.

Ms. Hendele lives in Astoria with her husband and cat. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends.
